Finding the Past in the Real, the Remembered, the Imagined: A Memoir Workshop with Edvige Giunta

$0.00

There are still a few spots at the in-person FREE Memoir Workshop I am teaching on January 22nd in Jersey City!

A letter, a dish, a doll, an item of furniture, a window, a street, a face, a gesture, a smell, a sound, a touch—anything conjured through memory can become a passport for traveling into the past Accessible and elusive, the phantasmatic fragments of the past are the seeds of untold stories. Through prompts that enable writers to cross temporal and geographical borders and identity boundaries, in this generative workshop you will gather memories and begin to shape them into stories that are rooted in the real, the remembered, the imagined. These accessible prompts will help you draw from untapped creative sources. Through writing, you will overcome those challenges that often impede memory work and will explore and redefine the reverberating and mutable meaning of the past.
